FAQs
Is there transportation to and from the Convocation hotel to the St. Edward's University campus? Yes, on Days 1 and 2 there will be a free shuttle bringing you to the campus at the start of the day and a return shuttle at the end of the day. On day 3 there will be one 9 a.m. shuttle to bring you to the campus but no returning busses. You will need to get a ride share back to your hotel.
Will there be breakfast at the two Convocation hotels? Yes, there will be free breakfast if you are staying in one of our two designated hotels. Please, if you are not staying in our selected hotels you will need to find breakfast on your own. Please do not walk over to the hotel you are not staying at for free breakfast because the ones who are staying there will not get breakfast.
How will the new 2 day format work with optional third day meeting space?
Here’s what to expect:
-
February 23–24: Two days of inspiring keynotes, interactive breakout sessions, hands-on workshops, and dynamic panel discussions.
-
February 25: A dedicated collaboration day for Holy Cross affinity groups to gather, plan, and advance shared projects across ministries and schools.
We believe this new structure will create deeper connections and meaningful progress among Holy Cross educators worldwide.
How do we reserve space on day 3? Fill out this FORM to reserve space.
Will we miss anything if we choose to reserve team space on day 3? No, this year we are NOT having a key note, plenaries, or workshops on Wednesday.
What time can we schedule a day 3 meeting? There are two time frames that are each two hours long. Please pick either 9:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. We will not be hosting general meetings after 1:30 p.m. Please notify us if you plan a longer meeting than two hours. This is a window meaning you could start at 10:00 a.m.
Will we have transportation to the conference space on day 3? There will be ONE bus running from the Austin Marriott South Convocation Hotel to the Ragsdale Center on campus at 9 a.m. There will be no return buses scheduled. You will need to ride share back to your location if you will not have a vehicle here.
What if we are not sure how many people will attend our day 3 meeting? Please give us your best estimate on the form.
Will the space be equipped with AV equipment on day 3? Yes, most rooms have either an HDMI cord that you can use to attach your own laptop, a computer in the room for hard drives, or you can use a cloud based presentation like Canva slides or Google Slides. We recommend having both ready before you present.
Will we have a food option for day 3 meetings? Yes, and you will be responsible for the costs. If you need one we can arrange box lunches for your guests, but we will need an estimated head count to do this. If find that you have dietary restrictions needed after this form is submitted please email us at hci@stedwards.edu.
Do we have to use the whole two hours we are scheduled for at the day 3 meeting? No, you will have a two hour window. You can take less time if you do not need the full two hours. If you need longer than two hours please email us!
