Convocation 2026

Seasons of Hope: Past, Present, Future

Call for Proposals

Convocation 2026 is set to take place February 23-25 on the campus of St. Edward’s University. We hope to see you there as Convocation is the largest annual gathering of Holy Cross educators from across the country and around the world. At the upcoming Convocation, we expect more than 300 members of the Holy Cross family to gather in Austin and experience the HOPE that inspired Bl. Basile Moreau, the Congregation’s founder. The theme of Convocation 2026 is Seasons of Hope: Past, Present, Future.

Hope “past” refers to the founding of the Holy Cross Institute 20 years ago – the anniversary is an occasion to marvel at God’s providence and the growth of the Institute. Hope “present” focuses on the Year of Mission that is being observed worldwide by the Congregation of Holy Cross in its schools, colleges and universities as well as its myriad other apostolates. Finally, “future” hope calls us to learn about emerging ministries within Holy Cross and other fruits of unification.

We are currently accepting proposals for presentations at Convocation 2026 – please consider submitting a proposal for a workshop that incorporates the theme “Seasons of Hope” into the discussion. Workshops tend to be focused on projects, initiatives or simply “best practices” that advance the Holy Cross mission in a given community. Workshops are a way to share ideas with colleagues who work in the same vocational space but are located in another state or country.  We highly encourage you to propose a workshop that reflects hope (note: for Convocation 2026, keynote and plenary presentations will be by invitation).

The Holy Cross Institute owes a debt of gratitude to those who present at Convocation. Given the operational costs of Convocation, which the Institute bears in full, we do not offer honoraria or stipends to presenters. Instead, we ask that you consider your time and talent as a gift in kind that helps to make Convocation possible.

Thank You!
