Third-Day Formation Retreat: Presented by Spes Unica Associates

Spes Unica Associates, a network of laypeople across the U.S. connected to the Congregation of Holy Cross, invites you to the new Third-Day Formation Retreat at Saint Edward’s University on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the St. André Multipurpose Room at St. Edward's University.

 

You must be registered for Convocation 2026 sponsored by the Holy Cross Institute to attend this event. This immersive day of formation and prayer in the Holy Cross tradition extends the Convocation experience, bridging knowledge with spiritual growth. Drawing from the SUA mission—to Grow Spiritually, Form Community, and Serve Others—participants will reflect on the charism of the Cross and consider how spes unica (our only hope) has the potential to transform our own interior lives in a meaningful way.

The retreat will foster a continuing and shared journey for individuals who love and support Holy Cross, while we will explore themes of spiritual depth, community building, and mission-driven action through prayerful reflection and shared encounters. The day culminates in an opportunity to make promises as a Spes Unica Associate, solidifying your role in the mission of spreading hope worldwide. Spes Unica Associates serves friends of Holy Cross of every sort—educators, staff, administrators, board members, alumni, friends, students, parishioners, and stakeholders. This retreat is open to all who consider themselves carriers of the mission of Holy Cross in their work, ministry, or personal life.
